FIL-TECH filter bags are Danish produced products of a very high quality, which filter bags are used within a wide range of liquid filtration in the industry. The fabrics are selected according to our very strict quality demands and in accordance to our product specifications.

A current quality control, made at every single production of bags, will guarantee you filter bags of highest quality and give you filter bags with the same qualities each time.

Materials:
Fil-Tech filter bags can be delivered as a standard article from 1 to 1000 my in the following materials:
Polyamide (P), Viscose (V), Polypropylene (PP) and Polyester (PE), partly as needle felt, partly as monofilament texture (MO).

Whether you shall choose monofilament texture or needle felt depends on the job. The difference between monofilament texture and needle felt can shortly be described as follows:

Monofilament:

By using bags, made of monofilament, a surface filtration will be made, keeping back particles, bigger than a certain my-size.

The monofilament texture is fixed in a certain way to secure that the threads will not move during usage.

After some time, smaller parts will also be held back, due to the fact that these smaller parts will be held back by the felt-texture the "filter pulp" (accumulation of solid substances). The strength of monofilament texture is depending on the thickness of the threads, used for the bags. The thickness of these threads will also decide the free filtration area. The thicker thread, the smaller "free" area of filtration. This area which area will determine the speed of the filtration, will vary between approx. 30 and 60%.

Fil-Tech filter bags are produced of monofilament texture with optimum combination of thread strength and free filtration area.

NEEDLE FELT:

Needle felt is made of a non-woven material. The felt is made of compact fibres, which makes pores. The largest particles will be held back at the surface, while smaller parts will be held back deeper inside the needle felt. This method of filtration is called "Deep filtration". In order to make the needle felt stronger, it contains a woven net structure. This does not make any influence on the filtration, - only the strength of the needle felt.

By monofilament, you can tell exactly, which particles that will pass through the fabric. It is not possible to give the same information regarding the needle felt, due to the structure. You can only say that particles bigger than certain my-size will be held back in 80-90% of the cases.

If you need to know exactly that particles bigger than a certain my-size will be held back, we recommend touse a filter bag with a better fineness.

ADVANTAGES/DISADVANTAGES:

The advantage by using needle felt is the fact that the pore structure is approx. 70-90% of the total volume of the needle felt. Compared to the monofilament texture, this means that the liquid quantity that can be filtrated per time unit is larger. Furthermore, the pressure value over the filter will slowly get bigger, while the filter will be able to keep back more solid substance.

The filters must be replaces immediately, by the time a filter pulp is being build-up, otherwise a filtration above level is the result.

The pressure value above the filter will increase, if there is a build-up of filter pulps.

When the pressure value is 1,0 – 2,0 bar (depends on the task), we recommend to replace the filter bag.
